Samy Schiavo to Rematch Jean Silva for the Cage Rage Title
The most recent fight added to the Cage Rage 9 card on November 27th is a rematch that has the MMA community talking. Samy Schiavo will get a shot at the Cage Rage title.

/Martial Arts News Articles/ - Paris, France November 12, 2004 -- On November 30th 2002 Samy Schiavo stepped up on 10 days notice with an injured hand to take on the UK's favourite Brazilian Jean Silva. For 2 rounds Samy avoided Jean's submission attempts and punished him with kicks and punches until late in the third round Samy, not having enough time to prepare his cardio for the fight, Gassed and Jean sunk in the rear naked choke.

Since then their careers have taken completely different paths. Silva has amassed 7 wins, 1 loss and a Draw, the loss coming to Gerald Strebendt which he has since avenged. Samy on the other hand has had only 2 fights, dominating former CageWarriors Lightweight champion Paul Sutherland in a 1st round Ground N Pound win and a loss to Robbie Olivier in a fight where he was heavily favoured but he has always dreamed of the rematch with Silva.

2 years later almost to the day Samy will get the rematch that he so wants. With almost 4 weeks notice and no injuries, Samy should be better prepared for this fight than last time and is hoping to avenge his first ever MMA loss.
