The Cagewarriors Fighting Championship Announce Its "Enter The Wolfslair" Tournament Line-up
The Cagewarriors Fighting Championships are proud to announce the Welterweight Tournament line-up for their March 5th "Enter The Wolfslair" show, to be held at the Olympia in Liverpool.
/Martial Arts News Articles/ - LIVERPOOL, UK, February 17, 2006 -- "Enter The Wolfslair" is the name of the first franchised show to be run by the Cagewarriors Pro Fight Team the Wolfslair Academy (in conjunction with Warrior Promotions.) This new show will run alongside the already popular Cagewarriors "Strike Force" and "Quest" series' and will continue to build on Cagewarriors' goal to provide a complete MMA platform.
To start this new show with a bang, Cagewarriors President Dougie Truman has organised an 8 man, number 1 contender Welterweight tournament to take place at this show. The winner of this tournament will automatically receive a CWFC Welterweight Title shot at Strike Force 6 on May 27th at the Skydome Arena, Coventry. They will face the winner of the Strike Force 5 Welterweight Title bout between Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy and Diego Gonzales on March 25th.
Tournament Details
1st and 2nd Round Fights will take place over 2x5 minute rounds (with 1 overtime round in case of a draw)
The Final will be held over 3x5 minute rounds (with 1 overtime round in case of a draw)

1. Josenildo "Luquinha" Ramarho 6-4-0 (Wolfslair Academy) Ultimate Force Middleweight Champion, Brazilian Challenger 1 Tournament Winner, FX3 and Cagewarriors Veteran
2. Michael "Rocky" Holmes 6-5-0 (Lodge Fight Club) House of Pain Middleweight Champion and Cage Rage and Cagewarriors Veteran
3. Abdul Mohamed 11-3-2 - Cage Rage British Lightweight Champion, Former Cagewarriors Welterweight Champion and FX 3 veteran
4. Arni 'The Ice Viking' Isaksson 3-1-0 (SBG Ireland) Bushido Ireland: Rings veteran
5. Peter "Yamatodamashii" Angerer 9-7-0 (German Top Team) SHIDO MMA World Welterweight Champion, Ultimate Combat and FX 3 veteran
6. Daniel Weichel 10-1-0 (Power Academy) - European Vale Tudo GP Middleweight Champion, Shooto Europe, Japan and KOTC USA Veteran
7. Jeff Cox 11-2-0 (Team Strong Style - Team BOF) Gladiators Fighting Series #1 ranked welterweight contender, KOTC Veteran
8. Dennis Siver 5-1-0 (OC Fight Team) EVT 4 and EVT GP, Masters Fight Night, and OC Cup veteran

The Tournament draw will take place on Sunday 19th February at Cagewarriors Quest Volume 5, Octagon Centre, Sheffield.
This night will also see 4 non-tournament fights which will feature the Wolfslair Academy's own Tom Blackledge (in Heavyweight action) and three of their new rising young stars including Paul Kelly who is back home after participating in the UFC trials in London last December.
