PASADENA, CA, February 07, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- King Tiger Tae Kwon Do of North Charlotte is proud to announce Master Instructor/Owner Terrance Evins has been inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine's Hall of Honors & Spirit. This coveted achievement was presented at the magazine's annual gala banquet in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Coined "The Academy Awards of Martial Arts," Evins received this honor among the world's largest assembly of celebrities, champions, and movers and shakers in martial arts.
Starting at age 6, Evins has taken the martial arts by storm. He is a former collegiate, state and national champion in forms and sparring. Additional accolades include State Director for the Philippine Martial Arts Alliance, Amerinational Service Hall of Fame Speaker Award and Action Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee for Excellence in Teaching in 2007. In 2007, Evins became the first African-American to successfully complete the coveted Ultimate Black Belt Challenge. Winter 2009, Evins was the 2008 General Mills Community Champion Award recipient and named among Who's Who in Black Charlotte in entrepreneurs.
King Tiger Tae Kwon Do (KT) is one of Charlotte's premiere martial arts academies. Its primary goal is to provide each student with practical self-defense techniques, promote better health and develop strong minds. Since opening in 2003, KT has received multiple honors such as: Top 10 School Award for US and Canada through Amerinational Service 2006 through 2008, produced several local, state, national and international Tae Kwon Do champions.
