OAKLAND, CA, June 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Edward J. Grigas, Retired Psychiatric Technician for Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and a Psychologist for MFT, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychology.
Dr. Grigas retired in 2008 after spending 30 years in the field of psychology. At Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, he was in charge of facilitating the development of action strategies, and diagnosing and treating mental disorders. He specializes in psychodynamics, cognitive behavioral therapy, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. Dr. Grigas was invited as a guest lecturer at the California State University, San Francisco, and has delivered several presentations on cognitive behavioral therapy at hospitals.
In 2002, Dr. Grigas received his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from The Professional School of Psychology. He received his Master of Arts in Counseling in 1994, and his Master's Degree in Psychology Research in 1990, from San Francisco State University. A licensed marital and family therapist, he holds a certification in cognitive processing therapy. Dr. Grigas is a member of the American Psychotherapy Association and the Northern California Group Psychotherapy Society, and has achieved sixth degree black belt in Shaolin Kenpo.
